This requirement has come to the forefront of necessity as a result of the Protecting Young Victims from Sexual Abuse and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017 (S.534).
Abuse prevention extends beyond compliance and risk management as an ethical responsibility to prevent athletes from facing any sort of harassment or abuse in amateur sports environments.
